Agartala: Feb 17. The high-level National Conference of Cooperation, Manthan Baithak 2026, was held at the Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar under the chairmanship of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah. The conference focused on strengthening India’s cooperative framework and enhancing Centre–State coordination to boost grassroots institutions.
The meeting was attended by Bhupendra Patel, Chief Minister of Gujarat; Union Ministers of State for Cooperation Krishan Pal Gurjar and Murlidhar Mohol; and Cooperation Ministers from various States and Union Territories. Among them was Tripura Cooperation Minister Sukla Charan Noatia, who took part in the deliberations.
Senior secretaries and key officials from across the country also participated. Discussions centred on policy reforms, strengthening Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), and accelerating digital transformation in the cooperative sector to ensure greater transparency, efficiency, and inclusive growth.
