Tripura, 08 Feb 2026: Tinku Roy has urged eligible families to avail the benefits of the Mukhyamantri Kanya Bibaha Yojana, launched in the 2025–26 financial year, aimed at supporting the marriage of daughters from Antyodaya families.
Addressing villagers at Goldapur, the Minister said that all Antyodaya families whose daughters have completed 18 years of age and whose marriages have been fixed can apply under the scheme to receive financial assistance of ₹50,000.
He informed that applications can be submitted at the Panchayat office, CDPO office, or SDM office. Applicants are required to submit:
Proof of age (Aadhaar Card or School Certificate), and Bank account details of the beneficiary.
After verification and identification by the Panchayat Pradhan or Panchayat Secretary, eligible applicants will receive the ₹50,000 assistance directly in their bank accounts before the marriage.
Minister Roy emphasized that the application process is simple and hassle-free, encouraging guardians of eligible girls to come forward and apply. He also expressed gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Minister for initiating the scheme, stating that it will provide crucial support to economically weaker families during their daughters’ marriages.
“This amount will be credited directly to your bank account,” the Minister assured while appealing for maximum participation under the scheme.
