Dhalai: Feb 04. Former Member of Parliament and BJP leader Rebati Tripura on Wednesday said the Union Budget has been framed with the clear objective of building a developed India by 2047, placing strong emphasis on economic growth and national security.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP Dhalai district office in Ambassa, Tripura who is also the Convenor of the BJP Tripura Pradesh Budget Presentation Committee said the current budget is distinct from previous years as it focuses on laying a strong economic foundation for the country’s future. He stressed that economic strength is essential for national progress, adding that provisions to strengthen the defence sector have also been included.
Tripura further remarked that a nation cannot move forward without economic stability, and keeping this in mind, the budget prioritises long-term growth and development aligned with the “Viksit Bharat” vision.
Responding to criticism from the opposition, particularly the Leader of the Opposition in the Tripura Legislative Assembly, Tripura said the remarks were politically motivated. He claimed that the opposition is aware of the budget’s contents but is opposing it as part of its role.
The press conference was also attended by BJP Dhalai district president Patiram Tripura, district vice-president Mridul Dutta, and other party leaders.
