Udaipur, Feb 03: In a significant law enforcement operation, Kakraban Police, led by OC Jayanta Malakar, arrested four fugitives who had been absconding for months under separate non-bailable warrants.
The arrests include Alamin Hossain, accused in the Andolon Kishore Debbarma murder case; Montu Ranjan Singh, involved in an NDPS case; Rashid Mia, facing charges in NI and passport-related cases; and one other accused.
Police sources stated that despite being released on bail by the Udaipur Justice Court, the accused failed to appear in court multiple times, ignoring official notices and remaining at large.
Acting on a confidential tip-off, a joint team from Kakraban Police Station and Tulamura Outpost conducted a special late-night raid, successfully apprehending all four individuals.
OC Jayanta Malakar said, “No one is above the law. Even those who evade justice will ultimately face legal consequences, and such operations will continue in the future.”
The arrests have brought relief to the local community and strengthened public confidence in the efficiency and vigilance of the police force.
