Agartala, November 25: Ahead of the 16 December Vijay Diwas celebrations, the Indian Army organised a Vijay Diwas Bike Rally today from Lichubagan, in front of Albert Ekka Park.
The event began with Brigadier D.K. Singh of the Indian Army paying floral tribute at the Albert Ekka Shaheed Vedhi, followed by Tripura DGP Anurag who also laid a wreath. After the tribute ceremony, the rally was officially flagged off by DGP Anurag.
The bike rally started from Albert Ekka Park and concluded at Teliamura, as part of a larger series of bike rallies being held across the Northeast to commemorate Vijay Diwas.
Senior officials, including Tripura DGP Anurag, Brigadier D.K. Singh, and other police and Army personnel were present during the programme.
DGP Anurag’s Message
Speaking on the occasion, DGP Anurag said:
“Today marks the beginning of the Vijay Diwas celebrations, and this rally is starting from Tripura, with similar rallies taking place across various regions. This day reminds us of our brave soldiers, our veterans, and our martyrs whose sacrifices led to great victories for the nation. Vijay Diwas inspires us to uphold the unity and integrity of our country. We must contribute in every possible way to honour their supreme sacrifices and take our nation forward.”
