Agartala, Nov 20: BSF troops seized 30 thousand Yaba tablets worth around Rs 3 crore during an operation near Bhawanipur village along the Indo-Bangladesh border, officials said.
Acting on a tip-off, personnel of BOP A R Pur under Jatrapur police station launched a search in a forested stretch close to the village.
During the raid, around 3 kg yaba tablets were recovered and concealed in the area.
According to officials, the seizure was part of the BSF’s ongoing efforts to curb narcotics movement and trans-border crimes along the Tripura frontier.
