Tripura, 19 Nov 2025: In an unprecedented move to strengthen electoral transparency, the Election Commission of India has released a comprehensive set of fourteen statistical reports on the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. The reports, published barely five days after the completion of the electoral process, offer a detailed account of every key aspect of the election an efficiency that marks a clear departure from the earlier practice of taking several weeks or even months to compile similar data.
According to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Bihar, the reports consolidate extensive information ranging from constituency-wise voter profiles to candidate statistics, turnout patterns, and party performance. They include gender-wise voting data, comparative turnout analyses, and a complete record of the electoral results across all constituencies. The performance of national and state parties, along with Registered Unrecognised Political Parties (RUPPs), has also been analysed in detail. The compilation further examines the participation and performance of women candidates, the distribution of voters across constituencies, and the overall electoral behaviour observed during the polls.

The Election Commission has made these datasets accessible through the ECINet App under the “Current Election” section, where individual constituency index cards provide granular, constituency-level information. Officials clarified that the statistical reports are prepared exclusively for academic and research purposes and are based on secondary data captured in these index cards. The primary data, which holds final legal authority, remains preserved in statutory forms maintained by the respective Returning Officers.
With the release of these reports, the Election Commission has reinforced its commitment to ensuring that election-related information is available promptly, accurately, and transparently to researchers, analysts, and the general public.
