Agartala: Nov 18. A seven-year-old student of Kshudiram Bose English Medium School tragically died after allegedly being forced to stand under the blazing sun during a school event on November 9. Despite repeatedly telling her teacher that she was feeling unwell, Class 2 student Dipannita Pal was reportedly ignored and made to continue standing in the heat.
According to the family, Dipannita collapsed suddenly on the spot. Once informed, her family rushed her to the hospital where doctors confirmed she had suffered severe sunstroke along with partial paralysis. She remained under treatment for several days but succumbed to her condition today.
The incident has sparked outrage, with serious questions raised over the school’s conduct and alleged negligence.
School Authorities are yet to issue an official statement as of writing this news report.
