Agartala: Nov 17. TTAADC’s AARC Chairman and Tipra Motha founder Bubagra Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma on Monday called for the proposed ₹25 crore CSR investment to be firmly directed toward education, healthcare and sports across ADC areas, stressing that these three sectors would drive long-term change in Tiprasa communities.
Speaking at the launch of HDFC Bank’s CSR mission at Agriculture Office Hall, Khumulwng, he said quality education is the only route to transforming the next generation, while rural healthcare especially maternal care must be upgraded so that women are not forced to travel to Hapania or GB Hospital during critical deliveries.

Pradyot also flagged youth addiction as a growing threat, noting that sports and music are the strongest tools to pull youngsters away from drugs. Citing examples of Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and Dipa Karmakar, he said icons often achieve what political leadership cannot “they inspire a village, a district and a state”.
He further urged a shift in women’s livelihood schemes from poultry and pig farming to modern skill training, arguing that women must not fall behind at a time when the world is learning Artificial Intelligence and digital skills.
Highlighting the newly launched Maharaja Kirit Bikram Manikya Scholarship Programme (MKBMSP), Pradyot said 45 students have already been sponsored for UPSC/TCS coaching, and 70–100 more will be supported soon. If even five succeed, he said, “they will return as future DMs or CEOs of TTAADC”.
Bubagra Pradyot also called for stronger entrepreneurship support, saying Risa and Rignai must be commercially scaled like the Nagaland shawl, and emphasised developing unique Tripura-made products that can bring recognition to the region.
He appealed to other banks to adopt similar CSR commitments and urged the TTAADC administration to work closely with them, especially for upliftment in Dhalai, South Tripura, Unakoti and Kanchanpur, the districts most affected by water scarcity, poor educational facilities and power shortages.
