Tripura, 14 Nov 2025: The Unity Promo Fest will be held in Udaipur on November 19 and 20 with the objective of strengthening harmony and unity among various ethnic and tribal communities, promoting the state’s diverse cultural heritage, and creating employment opportunities for unemployed youth. Initiated last year, the festival has already had a positive impact on Tripura’s tourism sector. This was stated by Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury at a press conference held today at the District Sports Ground in Udaipur.
The Tourism Minister said that although the event began last year as “Promo Fest,” it has been renamed Unity Promo Fest this year to emphasise the spirit of unity and cultural integration among different communities. He further informed that the Unity Promo Fest 2025, which started on 8 and 9 November at Gondatwisa’s Coconut Garden, will conclude in Agartala on 12 December.
The Minister added that the fest will not only promote the state’s tourist destinations but will also highlight Tripura’s rich cultural traditions and open up new avenues of livelihood for many people. He noted that the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) has also praised the Unity Promo Fest through a tweet.
Tourism inflow from different parts of the country is steadily increasing, and Tripura now ranks second after Sikkim among the Northeastern states in terms of foreign tourist arrivals. The Minister also provided detailed information about the preparations underway for the upcoming event at the Udaipur Sports Ground and sought everyone’s cooperation to ensure the festival’s success.
