Bubagra Pradyot Bikram Manikya, Head of the Royal House of Tripura, has paid heartfelt tribute to Guru Tegh Bahadur on the occasion of the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of the revered Ninth Sikh Guru. In a special message issued from Ujjayanta Palace, Bubagra recalled the historic spiritual bond between the Royal House of Tripura and the Sikh Gurus, describing it as a “timeless connection of faith and respect.”
“The Royal House of Tripura has enjoyed a long and historic association with the revered Sikh Gurus. On this solemn occasion, I pay humble tribute to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s eternal legacy,” Pradyot stated. “His supreme sacrifice for the protection of faith and human dignity stands as a beacon of courage, compassion, and spiritual fortitude. His life and teachings transcend all boundaries, inspiring humanity to uphold truth, tolerance, and righteousness.”
Expressing deep reverence, Bubagra added, “My ancestors, who journeyed from the East, were blessed by Guru Ji himself. It fills me with profound joy that the ancient bond between Tripura and the sacred legacy of the Guru has once again been rekindled after centuries.” He concluded with a message of peace and unity, hoping that the Guru’s light “continues to guide humanity toward harmony, justice, and peace.”
Earlier, the Sikh Pratinidhi Board (Eastern Zone), Dhubri Sahib, Assam, had formally invited Bubagra Pradyot Manikya to contribute a message for the souvenir magazine commemorating Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350th Martyrdom Anniversary. The Board, led by President S. Daljit Singh, will organize a three-day observance from November 23 to 25, 2025, at Gurdwara Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji in Dhubri.
The event will celebrate Guru Tegh Bahadur’s supreme sacrifice and his enduring message of religious freedom, human dignity, and interfaith harmony values that continue to inspire generations across India and beyond.
