Tripura, 2 Nov 2025: The National Commission for Women (NCW) will organize a public hearing titled “Rashtriya Mahila Aayog Aapke Dwar – Mahila Jan Sunwai” on November 6 at the Circuit House in Dharmanagar, North Tripura. The hearing will begin at 10 a.m. and will be chaired by Dr. Archana Majumdar, Member of the National Commission for Women.
During the session, a total of 17 pending cases from the districts of North Tripura, Gomati, South Tripura, West Tripura, and Unakoti spanning the years 2023 to 2025 will be reviewed. These cases are currently under consideration by the respective police authorities.
The initiative aims to ensure speedy and effective resolution of women-related grievances and to facilitate direct interaction between complainants, district administration, and police officials. In addition to the scheduled cases, the Commission will also accept and hear new “walk-in complaints” on the same day.
The NCW has urged women from the region to take advantage of this opportunity to have their issues addressed and to actively participate in the hearing. The information was shared by the office of the District Magistrate, North Tripura.
