Tripura, 2 Nov 2025: The Raj Bhavan on Sunday came alive with the celebration of the Foundation Day of eight states and five Union Territories. Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu inaugurated the event and said that such occasions help strengthen the spirit of national integration and showcase India’s unity in diversity.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said these celebrations offer an opportunity to understand the rich culture, traditions, and people of different parts of the country. He also urged everyone to work together to make India a developed nation by 2047.

The states celebrating their Foundation Day today include Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, and Tamil Nadu, along with the Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Delhi, Lakshadweep, and Puducherry.
Representatives from Kerala, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, and Andhra Pradesh shared their thoughts during the event. The Governor’s Secretary, Uttam Kumar Chakma, delivered the welcome address. The celebration was attended by people from these states and Union Territories working in various government and private sectors across the state.
