Tripura, 01 Nov 2025: A tragic accident occurred near the Kulai Panchayat area under Ambassa Police Station, claiming the life of a young man identified as Jiten Sutradhar, aged around 18 years.
According to reports, Jiten, a resident of Sudhanshu Ghosh Para in Kulai, was engaged in soil-loading work near the Kulai Panchayat premises when a sudden landslide collapsed over him. The heavy mass of soil buried him while he was working close to a vehicle.
Local residents immediately rushed to rescue the victim and informed the Ambassa Fire Service Department. Firefighters, with assistance from locals, managed to extract Jiten from the debris using a bulldozer. He was swiftly taken to Dhalai District Hospital in Kulai, but doctors there declared him dead on arrival after examination.
The sudden and tragic loss of the young worker has cast a pall of grief over the entire locality.
