Tripura, 01 Nov 2025: Former Tripura minister Manindra Reang has joined the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) in a major political event held in Delhi. Acknowledging his long political experience, dedication, and service to the people, the party’s national leadership has appointed him as the State President of RLD Tripura.
Reang officially took charge on Saturday during a press conference at the Agartala Press Club. Speaking to reporters, he said,
“I have joined the Rashtriya Lok Dal to work for the development, peace, and self-governance of Tripura’s tribal and backward communities. I will sincerely fulfill the responsibilities given to me by the party.”
He also mentioned that preparations for the upcoming ADC (Autonomous District Council) elections are already underway. The focus will be on expanding the organization, building grassroots leadership, and creating an alternative development plan for tribal areas.
Manindra Reang, who was earlier a CPI(M) MLA and minister in the Left Front government, later joined Tipra Motha, and then the Congress. With his move to RLD, he continues his political journey with a new mission for Tripura’s people.
