Agartala: Oct 30. The District Magistrate & Collector of Dhalai District, Vivek H. B., has revoked the prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, in Kamalpur Sub-Division with effect from 6:00 a.m. on October 31, 2025.
The restrictions were earlier imposed on October 23, 2025, following scattered incidents of clashes during a bandh in the area.
According to official sources, the decision to lift the restrictions was taken after the Superintendent of Police, Dhalai, reported an improvement in the law and order situation and confirmed adequate deployment of security forces in the region, particularly around Salema Police Station.
The order, issued under Section 163(5) of BNSS, 2023, states that normal movement and activities may resume across Kamalpur Sub-Division from Friday morning.
