Tripura, 29 Oct 2025: A meeting of the Standing Committee on Education and Health of the Khowai Zilla Parishad was held today at the Zilla Parishad Conference Hall. The meeting was chaired by the committee’s president, Ranjit Kumar Sarkar.
Khowai Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Aparna Singh Roy (Dutta), Sahakari Sabhadhipati Satyendra Chandra Das, members of the standing committee, Zilla Parishad Member-Secretary Uttam Das Vaishnav, and officials from various departments were present at the meeting.
During the discussion, the District Education Officer informed that a state-level Under-17 Boys’ Football Tournament will be held in Khowai district in November. He also announced that a district-level Unity March will be organized on November 18, and a District Youth Festival will take place on November 6 at Chitrangada Kala Kendra, Teliamura.
A representative from the District Information and Cultural Office stated that the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda will be celebrated at Dhalabil Tea Garden in November, and the Manipuri Ras Festival will be held at Gournagar Panchayat under Khowai block.
