Agartala: Oct 28. In response to a long-standing public demand, the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) Teliamura Sub-Division Committee organized a massive rally on Tuesday and submitted a deputation to the Station Superintendent of Teliamura Railway Station.
The key demand placed before the railway authorities was to ensure stoppages of major express trains, including the Kanchanjungha Express, at Teliamura station for the convenience of local passengers.
The rally, which started from Teliamura town, culminated at the Trisha Bari based railway station, where DYFI leaders handed over the memorandum.
Among those present during the deputation were youth leaders Tutan Deb, Abhijit Dey, and other members of the DYFI Teliamura Sub-Division leadership.
The demonstrators raised slogans and urged the railway administration to address the demand immediately, emphasizing that the lack of express train stoppages causes serious inconvenience to daily commuters and travelers of the region.
