Agartala: Oct 26. Commemorating the birth anniversary of India’s “Iron Man” Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Udaipur District Police, under the initiative of Superintendent of Police Dr. Kiran Kumar K, organised a grand “Run for Unity” event on Sunday morning. The event aimed to spread the message of unity, integrity, and patriotism among citizens.
The run began from Ramesh Chowmuhani and concluded at the Dhwajnagar Police Headquarters ground, turning the entire route into a vibrant celebration of national unity. Hundreds of police personnel both men and women joined the run in full uniform, chanting the slogan “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” in unison.
The programme was attended by SP Dr. Kiran Kumar K, Additional SP, OC of Radhakishorepur Police Station, and several other senior police officials. Dr. Kiran Kumar K said, “Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was the symbol of India’s unity. Through this run, we aim to inspire the new generation with his ideals.”
The streets of Udaipur were filled with cheers, applause, and patriotic slogans as people gathered on both sides to witness the event. Many locals captured the moments on their phones as a symbol of collective pride and harmony.
Participants expressed that the event was not just a competition but a heartfelt expression of unity, brotherhood, and love for the nation.
