Tripura, 25 Oct 2025: As directed by Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, the Government of Tripura has sanctioned interim relief/ex-gratia assistance to 55 affected individuals in connection with the Santirbazar mob violence incident that occurred under Kamalpur Sub-Division on October 23, 2025.
According to an official pay order issued by the District Magistrate and Collector, Dhalai District, a total amount of ₹6.60 lakh has been approved for distribution among the victims. The relief will be disbursed as follows:
₹25,000 each for major losses (5 persons) ₹15,000 each for moderate losses (7 persons) ₹10,000 each for minor losses (43 persons)
Authorities have stated that additional compensation will be provided after a detailed assessment of the damage as per government norms.
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Kamalpur has been instructed to verify if any affected individuals were left out from the current list, allowing them to claim compensation upon submission of proper evidence.
