Tripura, 25 Oct 2025: A tragic road accident late Saturday night near Charilam Higher Secondary School, close to a petrol pump on National Highway No. 8, left three people dead on the spot. The collision between two speeding motorcycles turned the highway into a scene of horror as the road was soaked in blood.
Local residents rushed out of their homes after hearing a loud crash and found two bikes completely mangled, with the lifeless bodies of three individuals including one tribal woman lying on the road. The locals immediately informed the Bishramganj and Bishalgarh fire services.


Firefighters from Bishalgarh arrived at the scene and rushed the victims one tribal woman and three young men to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital. One of the injured was taken to the hospital in a local vehicle before the fire service arrived.
Police, led by Sub-Inspector Rammohan Debbarma from Bishalgarh Police Station, reached the spot with a large team to control the crowd and begin an investigation. The two motorcycles involved bore registration numbers TR07H-5356 and TR01C-9992.
Among the deceased, two have been identified as Tuton Das and Indrajit Das. Police sources said that three of the four riders succumbed to their injuries, while one remains under treatment.
A police officer at the scene said,
“We received information about a serious accident near Chourilam School and Dewicher Majarbanga. On reaching the spot, we found two bikes lying on the road one on the side and another in the middle. Three people were critically injured, and we rescued them to the hospital. Unfortunately, three were declared dead.”
A doctor at Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital confirmed,
“It was a bike collision near Charilam. Out of four victims, three were brought dead two males and one female. The fourth person is under treatment.”
Locals recalled that just weeks ago, another young man had died in an accident at the same location, raising fresh concerns about the increasing number of fatal crashes on this stretch of National Highway 8.
