However, in a dramatic twist, the OC now faces serious allegations of molestation from a female singer who was performing at the event.

The artist alleged that the officer misbehaved with her while she was leaving the venue:
“We came to perform at the Orientel Club. The program went well and ended around 9:30 p.m. While returning to our hotel, the OC approached us. He pushed me hard near my stomach and touched me inappropriately. I felt humiliated such behavior from a police officer is unacceptable,” she said in a recorded statement.
The contradictory accounts have deepened the controversy. While police sources maintain that the assault on the OC was an attack on law enforcement, the allegation from the singer has added a new dimension to the case.
Authorities have confirmed that both incidents the assault on the OC and the molestation complaint are under investigation.
The Belonia incident has once again highlighted rising tensions between law enforcement and political groups in Tripura’s southern region.
