Tripura, 22 Oct 2025: At the foothills of Atharamura in Mungiakami under Teliamura subdivision, the sacred Diwali Fair and Shyama Maa Puja were celebrated in a spiritual and cultural atmosphere at the Maa Matrika Mangala Ashram.
Inaugurating the event, Bikash Debbarma, MLA of the 29-Krishnapur Assembly Constituency and Minister for Tribal Welfare, announced that ₹10 lakh would be sanctioned from the BEUP fund for the development and strengthening of the ashram’s infrastructure.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, the minister said, “It is our principle and policy to complete every work on time because the government is accountable to the people of the state. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, this government, its ministers, MLAs, and administration are working sincerely for the welfare of the people.”
Keeping his promise made to the devotees during the fair, Minister Debbarma signed the approval papers for the ₹10 lakh grant within two days. He stated that the ground within the temple premises would be renovated within a week using funds from his MLA Development Fund, reaffirming the government’s commitment to timely and people-oriented governance.
