Tripura, 18 Oct 2025: Teliamura Sub-Division Police achieved a major breakthrough in their ongoing anti-drug operation.
In a raid conducted early Saturday morning in the Hadrai area, police seized approximately 3,500 bottles of Phensedyl and Eskuf cough syrup, estimated to be worth over ₹10 lakh in the black market.
The operation was led by Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Rohan Krishan, assisted by Teliamura Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jayanta Kumar Dey and personnel from the 6th Battalion TSR (Tripura State Rifles).

The raid was carried out based on a tip-off, revealing a larger network involved in illegal drug trafficking.
SDPO Rohan Krishan stated that an investigation is underway and further actions will be taken to apprehend the main culprits behind the racket. The total market value of the seized narcotic substances is estimated to exceed ₹10 lakh.
Following this successful operation, there has been widespread appreciation across Teliamura Sub-Division for the administration’s active role and public awareness against drug abuse.
However, local sources suggest that the recovered stock might only represent a fraction of a much larger consignment still hidden elsewhere.
