Tripura, 17 Oct 2025: In a major step toward strengthening youth leadership and academic collaboration in Northeast India, the North East India International Model United Nations (NEIMUN) Foundation and Holy Cross College, Agartala (HCCA) have signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The partnership aims to empower young people through leadership development, Model UN simulations, mentorship programs, and academic exchange. Rooted in the spirit of friendship, equality, and mutual growth, the MoU seeks to create a sustainable platform for capacity-building and youth engagement in Tripura and beyond.
Founded in 2013, NEIMUN Foundation is a youth-led, not-for-profit organization that has trained and inspired thousands of young leaders across the region through conferences, workshops, and training programs. Holy Cross College, accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC in 2023, is one of Tripura’s premier institutions offering quality education across diverse disciplines under the Holy Cross Educational Foundation.

Key Highlights of the MoU
Establishment of a student-led HCCA MUN Club with NEIMUN’s mentorship. Access to training, internships, and leadership development programs. Priority participation for HCCA students in NEIMUN conferences and initiatives. Joint organization of seminars, workshops, and youth engagement events. Promotion of HCCA’s involvement across NEIMUN’s media and annual reports.
Under the agreement, HCCA will provide infrastructure support and faculty mentorship, while NEIMUN will assist in structuring the MUN Club, provide expert guidance, and connect students with its vast alumni network.
The collaboration will be valid for five years with the option for renewal and does not entail any financial obligations. Both institutions may seek external support for specific initiatives.
A Step Toward Regional Youth Empowerment
This collaboration marks a new chapter in promoting youth diplomacy, academic excellence, and leadership in Tripura. By combining NEIMUN’s decade-long experience in youth engagement with HCCA’s academic foundation, the partnership aims to nurture a generation of globally aware, confident, and responsible young leaders from the Northeast.
The MoU will officially take effect upon signatures from both institutions’ authorized representatives.
