Agartala, 13 Oct 2025: The Information & Cultural Affairs Department observed the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction today at its headquarters.
On this occasion, all officers and staff of the department took a pledge to remain prepared for disaster management.
Addressing the gathering, Joint Director Manoj Kumar Saha stated that natural or man-made disasters can occur at any time, and it is essential for everyone to stay prepared to face them. He emphasized that the process of preparedness should begin at one’s own home or neighborhood. By being aware and alert about disaster management, loss of life and property can be minimized.
Also present at the event were Deputy Director Rajat Kanti Das, Assistant Director Amrit Debbarma, along with officers and staff from various levels of the department.
