Tripura, 6 Oct 2025: A pall of gloom has descended over Panichowki Bazaar in Kailasahar following the tragic death of local businessman Randhir Pal (Shyamal) on Monday morning. The incident took place at his residence near the Girls’ School.
According to family sources, Randhir Pal had been engaged in a long-standing legal dispute over property with his brother Sanjib Pal. On Monday morning, an argument reportedly broke out between the two brothers regarding the issue. Allegedly, during the altercation, Sanjib Pal pushed Randhir, causing him to fall to the ground and suffer a cardiac arrest. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The deceased’s son alleged, “Our uncle Sanjib Pal had been trying to grab our property for a long time. This morning, he pushed my father, who fell and never got up again. My uncle is responsible for his death.”
The incident has cast a shadow of sorrow over the locality. Police have reportedly initiated an investigation into the matter.
