Tripura, 5 Oct 2025: A major accident took place late last night near the Melarmath Flyover turning in Agartala. A speeding car bearing registration number TR01BJ0746 reportedly lost control while taking the turn and crashed.
Police from the West Agartala Police Station quickly reached the spot and managed the situation. Fortunately, no pedestrians or bystanders were injured in the incident. However, the car driver sustained injuries and was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.
A police official said, “The driver himself was injured, but no public or pedestrians were hurt. We have sent the injured to the hospital for treatment. The vehicle was at high speed and crashed while turning. It will be shifted from the spot soon.”
The driver’s condition is reported to be stable.
