Tripura, 19 April 2025: A brief ceremony was held at Gorkha Basti where Tripura’s Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy handed over appointment letters to 11 selected candidates for the posts of Small Savings, Group Insurance, and Institutional Finance Inspectors under the Finance Department of the Tripura Government On Saturday,

Apart from the minister, the event was also attended by Finance Department Secretary Apurba Roy and other officials. Speaking on the occasion, the minister emphasized that the state government is actively working to fill vacant posts across departments. He assured that all recruitments are being conducted strictly in accordance with government rules and regulations to ensure that no one loses their job due to any procedural errors.
Highlighting financial reforms, the minister said that currently, there are no fraudulent chit fund operations in the state. The assets of chit fund companies that had illegally collected money from citizens are being sold, and the funds are being deposited into the state exchequer.
He added that these funds will be distributed among the victims in due course. It is noteworthy that for the 2024–25 fiscal year, a target of ₹1,024 crore was set for the Small Savings Scheme, and ₹1,075 crore has already been collected.
A total of 1,119 SAS agents and 2,247 MPKBY agents are working across the state, contributing significantly to the small savings collection.
