Aizawl, September 30, 2024: Tripura’s Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu assumed additional charge as the Governor of Mizoram today. The oath-taking ceremony took place at Raj Bhavan in Aizawl, where Justice Nelson Sailo of the Gauhati High Court administered the oath of office to the Governor.
Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma, Home Minister Saptanga, and other ministers, along with the Chief Secretary and senior officials, were present during the ceremony. The additional responsibility was assigned to Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu by President Droupadi Murmu due to the ill health of Mizoram Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati.
The event marked a significant moment in Mizoram’s administration, as Governor Nallu officially took on the role to ensure smooth governance in the state during Kambhampati’s recovery.
