The Chief Minister reiterated his government’s “zero tolerance” policy towards drugs and narcotics. He acknowledged the strong stance taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah against drug abuse and affirmed that Tripura’s police are working hard to eradicate the menace. “Among 28 states, Tripura ranks third in terms of effective law and order management, and we are leading in drug seizures and destruction of contraband,” he added.
The review meeting also tackled traffic issues, with discussions aimed at finding solutions to persistent traffic problems in the state. CM Dr. Saha emphasized that law enforcement should continue to operate with transparency and commitment, stating that the current government values integrity, which people will remember.
