Agartala, 07 August 2024 : The Director General of Border Security Force (BSF), Daljit Singh Chawdhary, IPS, visited the Frontier Headquarters BSF Salbagan in Agartala, Tripura, to assess the security and operational preparedness along the India-Bangladesh border. Accompanied by Additional Director General Ravi Gandhi, DG BSF Chawdhary arrived at Agartala Airport at 10:45 hrs and was received by Patel Piyush Purusottam Das, IPS, Inspector General BSF Tripura Frontier.
During his visit, DG BSF Chawdhary was briefed by IG Tripura Frontier on the current operational scenario. He chaired a high-level meeting with senior BSF officers, discussing the ongoing law and order situation in Bangladesh and its potential impact on border security.
The Director General commended the relentless efforts and dedication of the BSF personnel in safeguarding the borders and effectively preventing infiltration and trans-border crimes. He emphasized the importance of continued vigilance and operational readiness in maintaining the security of the Indo-Bangladesh border.
DG BSF Chawdhary also held discussions with DG Tripura Police Amitabh Ranjan, IPS, and ADG Law and Order Anurag Dhankar, IPS, on various state-related security issues.
After completing his review, DG BSF Chawdhary departed for Delhi in the evening.
