Agartala, August 1: The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga‘ campaign is set to be celebrated across Tripura from August 13 to 15, 2024. To ensure the success of this initiative, a preparatory meeting was held today at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha. The meeting was attended by Dr. P K Chakraborty, Secretary of the Information and Cultural Affairs Department, along with principal secretaries of various departments, secretaries, and senior officials. District Magistrates from the eight districts of the state also participated via video conference.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha urged everyone to actively participate in making this year’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga‘ campaign a success. He emphasized that this campaign, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2022, aims to honor those who have sacrificed their lives for the nation.

The Chief Minister suggested organizing events at Amrit Sarovar locations and Amrit Vatika sites across the state as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. He also highlighted the importance of celebrating this initiative in border villages under the ‘75 Border Villages Kranti Veeron Ke Naam’ program. Furthermore, he stressed the need to share photos of various events held under this campaign on social media and encouraged the involvement of representatives at all levels. The Chief Minister also emphasized the importance of celebrating the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in ADC areas and across the state.
Dr. P K Chakraborty, Secretary of the Information and Cultural Affairs Department, detailed the plans and programs adopted to ensure the success of this year’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. He mentioned that the campaign started in 2022, and this year, it is being organized following the guidelines of the Union Ministry of Culture. He also provided information on the distribution of national flags to various districts over the past two years by the Information and Cultural Affairs Department.
The Secretary highlighted the focus on a statewide publicity campaign to make the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative a success. Efforts will include promotional videos featuring the Chief Minister’s appeal through print, electronic, web, social media, and LED screens. Audio-visual promotions will also be carried out through social media and LED screens. Banners, standees, and hoardings will be placed at district, subdivision, block, Agartala Municipal Corporation, and other urban administration offices. The campaign’s message will be conveyed in school assemblies to instill a sense of patriotism among students. The message and appeal of the campaign will be read out in office premises on designated dates.
Moreover, various clubs, NGOs, business, and social organizations will be involved in making the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign a success. Selfie points will be created at the headquarters of districts, subdivisions, blocks, Agartala Municipal Corporation, and other urban administrative bodies. Principal secretaries and secretaries from different departments shared their plans for the successful implementation of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga‘ campaign in the state. The district administration also outlined their action plans during the meeting.
