In a significant move towards digitization, the present government of the state has launched the e-office platform across all Panchayat offices. This initiative, aimed at increasing transparency, efficiency, and accountability in administration, marks a milestone not only for the state but also sets an example for the entire country. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha announced the launch of e-offices in all Panchayat offices during an event held at Secretariat Hall No. 2.
He awarded certificates to offices that have achieved 100 percent e-office implementation and recognized various departments for their successful management system implementation. During his speech, the Chief Minister emphasized the state’s commitment to digitizing every sector to provide transparent administration. He highlighted the introduction of the e-cabinet system, which has already been implemented, and praised the quick service delivery and problem-solving capabilities enabled by the e-office system.
The Chief Minister outlined the extensive reach of the e-office system, which now includes 587 Gram Panchayats, 589 Village Council Offices, 4 District Panchayat Offices, 4 PRTIs, 35 Panchayat Samitis, 40 Block Advisory Committees, and 8 Zilla Parishad. Additionally, important departments such as the Department of Information and Culture, Department of Education, and Urban Development have integrated the e-office system at the field level. Another notable achievement highlighted by the Chief Minister was the successful implementation of the Beneficiary Management System (BMS).
This technology allows real beneficiaries to access various project benefits efficiently. The event was attended by prominent figures including Information Technology Minister Pranjit Singh Roy, Chief Secretary JK Sinha, Director of Industry and Commerce Vishwasree B, Secretary to the CM Dr. Pradeep Kumar Chakraborty, Education Department Secretary Raval Hemendra Kumar, Urban Development Department Secretary Abhishek Singh, Revenue Department Secretary Puneet Agarwal, along with secretaries and officers from various departments. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha concluded by reiterating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of creating a Digital India.
