Agartala, June 30, 2024: “Engineers are key architects of societal development. They play a crucial role in implementing the government’s welfare projects,” said Tripura’s Chief Minister, Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha. He made these remarks today at the inauguration of a blood donation camp organized by the State Engineers’ Association at Bhagat Singh Yuva Abas in Agartala.
Emphasising the significance of blood donation, the Chief Minister stated, “Blood donation embodies the highest form of humanity. A single donor can save many lives with their contribution.” He urged all sections of society to actively participate in blood donation.
At the event, the State Engineers’ Association also provided financial assistance to students who excelled in the Tripura Board of Secondary Education’s secondary and higher secondary examinations. The Chief Minister personally handed over checks to the meritorious students.
“Engineers are instrumental in developing infrastructure for roads, electricity, health, and education. They need to apply innovative solutions to address public issues,” the Chief Minister added.
Engineer Satyabrata Das delivered the welcome address, while Chief Engineer Bimal Das and Engineer Surya Kumar Debbarma spoke about the engineers’ responsibilities and contributions to society. Chief Engineer Amit Das was also present at the event.
Following the inauguration, the Chief Minister visited the blood donation camp and encouraged the donors. A total of 31 people donated blood during the camp.
Through this initiative, the State Engineers’ Association reiterated its commitment to the development of the state and service to humanity.
