In a significant educational initiative under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme, an online smart class program has been launched in the North Tripura district for girls in classes IX to XII. This joint effort by the North Tripura District Administration and Education Department aims to enhance learning opportunities for female students.
The inauguration took place in the District Magistrate’s office, with the District Magistrate and Collector Debapriya Bardhan presiding over the event. Notable attendees included District Education Officer Sukhmoy Nath, District Social Welfare and Social Education Officer Prasenjit Debbarma, and Joint Director of the District Information and Cultural Office Dilip Kumar Debbarma, along with school headmasters and teachers.
During the ceremony, Debapriya Bardhan emphasized the additional learning opportunities provided by the smart class format. Sukhomoy Nath delivered the welcome address, highlighting the initial participation of students from classes IX and X of nine schools in the smart classes. On this occasion, the District Magistrate interacted with the teachers associated with the smart class program.
