North Tripura, June 29, 2024 — In a significant boost to the educational infrastructure in North Tripura, the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative today launched an online smart class program aimed at empowering girls from classes IX to XII. The project, a collaborative effort between the North Tripura District Administration and the Education Department, was inaugurated at the District Magistrate’s office.
District Magistrate Debapriya Vardhan led the inaugural ceremony, highlighting the potential of smart classes to provide students with enhanced learning opportunities. “This initiative will allow our students to grasp subjects more effectively through advanced educational tools,” Vardhan stated during her address.
The launch event was graced by notable attendees, including District Education Officer Sukhmoy Nath, who delivered the welcome speech, District Social Welfare and Social Education Officer Prasenjit Debvarma, and District Information and Culture Office Joint Director Dilip Kumar Debvarma. Also present were Education Department OSD Kritisundar Dey, headmasters, and teachers from various schools across the district.
Initially, nine schools from North Tripura will participate in the smart class program, providing girls with access to advanced educational content and interactive learning modules. District Magistrate Vardhan engaged with the participating teachers, emphasizing the critical role they play in leveraging this technology to benefit students.
