Unakoti, June 24, 2024 – The Central Irani Anganwadi center recently hosted a health camp and malaria screening under the Irani Ayushman Arogya Mandir initiative. This event, held in Unakoti district, saw active participation from the local community, with 25 residents availing of various medical services provided during the camp.
The Department of Welfare and Disease Prevention, which organized the camp, reported the collection of blood slides from six individuals for malaria screening. These samples were tested on-site using Rapid Diagnostic (RD) kits. The participants were thoroughly checked for health issues, and necessary medications were administered.
This health camp forms part of ongoing efforts to improve healthcare access and disease prevention measures in the region. The Department emphasized the importance of such initiatives in enhancing community health and fostering early detection and treatment of diseases.
