Old Tabla Bari, Khowai – A tragic incident unfolded on Tuesday morning, resulting in the death of 50-year-old Kalabati Debbarma. The accident occurred in the Old Tabla Bari area under the jurisdiction of Khowai police station.
According to family sources, Ms. Debbarma went to the pond on her property around 8 AM for routine activities. At the time, water irrigation was in progress. Tragically, she slipped and fell into the pond.
No one was present on the bank of the pond during the incident, leaving her without immediate assistance. The absence of bystanders at the critical moment resulted in her drowning.
