Tripura 1 Dec, 2023: In a shocking incident, three members of the same family were discovered lifeless in their residence in Ward 11 of Melaghar Municipality in the early hours of today. According to police sources, Chintaharan Paul, his wife Pratima Paul, and their daughter Monika Paul were found in an unresponsive state in their bed, raising concerns about the circumstances of their demise.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who is also the head of the health department, made this disheartening announcement on his social media platform. Dr. Saha expressed condolences to the bereaved family and assured a thorough investigation into the matter.
The elder brother of Chintaharan immediately became apprehensive when there was no sign of activity from their house, despite the family usually being early risers. Upon peering through a window, he discovered the grim reality that all three family members were motionless in their beds.
Promptly, the concerned brother alerted nearby residents and contacted the police. A small police force rushed to the scene, and upon confirming the unfortunate situation, the bodies were taken to the Melaghar Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
As of now, local residents are unable to provide any information regarding the circumstances leading to the tragic demise of the three family members. There were no visible signs of injury on the bodies, and the cause of death will only be determined after the results of the post-mortem examination are available.
