Agartala, November 16: A serious accident occurred, resulting in injuries to nearly 11 passengers who were involved in a head-on collision between a Max bus and a car.
According to reports, this morning, on the winding roads of Hathai kotor Hills (Baramura Hills), a collision took place between a Max bus and a car, leaving at least 11 passengers injured.
During the incident, Animesh Debbarma, an opposition leader, traveled from Khumulwng towards Khowai. He immediately extended his help, informing ambulances and the rescue team. The injured have been split between Zirania Hospital and Teliyamuda Hospital. Eight of them were taken to Zirania Hospital, where the medical condition of the patients was deemed concerning by the attending doctors, prompting the transfer of eight to GBP Hospital, Agartala.
Animesh Debbarma expressed deep concern about the condition of the injured and took the initiative to inform the ambulance and rescue services promptly. In the aftermath of the accident, one of the Max bus drivers was arrested by the police in Damkalpur police station.
The local high school students played a crucial role in assisting with the rescue operations. Accidents like these serve as a reminder for everyone to exercise caution on the roads.
