Agartala 10 November 23: “n a heartwarming annual tradition, the Women’s College Alumni Association, during the Durga Puja season, extends its compassion towards the underprivileged by distributing clothing. However, due to certain commitments this year, the distribution coincided with Diwali instead of the customary Durga Puja timeframe. On Friday, in front of Lakshmi Bari, the members of the alumni association generously handed out new clothing to all the underprivileged individuals present.
The decision to distribute clothing before the Festival of Lights was influenced by the association’s dedication to stand by the side of society’s less fortunate. Tapsi Das, the Secretary of the Women’s College Alumni Association, expressed that this initiative was driven by the primary goal of supporting and standing beside the underprivileged in society. This thoughtful gesture aimed to bring warmth and joy to those in need, fostering a sense of togetherness in the community.”
