Aguli 20 May 23: Muhuripur, a small town in the Jolaibari constituency, witnessed a joyous event today as the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed Knowledge Center, Hatchery, Laboratory, and Gene Bank building took place amidst great enthusiasm. With the financial assistance of the state government, a sum of 1 million Taka was allocated for the establishment of the Knowledge Center for fish cultivation and a new building for IMC Hatchery. Furthermore, a total of 2.791 million Taka was invested in constructing the Library and Gene Bank building. The construction work on these buildings began in 2018 after a change in the state administration.
The honorable Minister Sudhashu Das conducted the auspicious inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed building. Alongside him, popular legislator and Minister Shuklacharan Noatia, Principal Secretary of the Fisheries Department and Animal Resources Development Department, B.S. Misra, Kakali Das Datta, the Chairman of the South District Council, Vice-Chairman Viveshwar Chandra Das, Chairman of Jolaibari Block Panchayat Ravi Nam, and Atirokto Mohkuma Shashok Bipur Das were present at the event, among others.
During the ceremony, Minister Sudhanshu Das highlighted the various developmental initiatives undertaken by the state government, focusing on fish, meat, milk, and egg production.
