The incident took place today Saturday afternoon at approximately 5:30 PM at Naka Point area of Hawaiibari under Teliyamura police station. According to the details of the incident, as every day, the traffic police force of Teliamura Police Station sat for routine vehicle checking at Naka Point area of Hawaiibari under Teliamura Police Station. And routine police activity on Saturday around 5:30 pm, a container vehicle bearing the number WB 76 B 2306 from Agartala was coming towards Teliamura.
But as soon as it came to the Naka Point area of Hawaiibari, as the police car was suspicious, the car was parked on the side of the Assam Agartala National Highway in the Naka Point area and conducted a comb search. And in this the traffic police has a great success. 28 packets i.e. 161 kg of illegal dry marijuana were recovered from the roof of the container car.The market value of which is estimated to be more than 5 lakh rupees. Immediately, the container car and the driver Mohammad Jamirul Uddin (42) were arrested and brought to Teliamura police station. Sub-Divisional Police Officer Prasoon Kanti Tripura rushed to Teliamura police station immediately after getting the news. However, the police’s preliminary investigation revealed that the car was brought from an area near the bypass of the capital under the guise of cannabis. But the main aim was to take the car to the neighboring state of Bihar to convey the ganja.
But now the question that is peeping across the conscious circles with good sense is, if the ganja is loaded in the car from the bypass area of the city, then how did it pass through so many police stations and outposts of the city and come to the Naka Point area of Teliamura Police Station and get arrested?
