Aguli 22-09-2022: BJP candidate Biplab Kumar Deb won the by-election in only one Rajya Sabha seat from Tripura. He got 43 votes.
Voting was held on Thursday for the by-election in only one Rajya Sabha seat from Tripura. BJP’s candidate in this by-election is former state chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb and Left Front’s candidate is CPIM MLA Bhanulal Saha. On this day, the vote was taken in the lobby of the Legislative Assembly. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Leader of Opposition Manik Sarkar voted for two candidates Biplab Kumar Dev and Bhanulal Saha. Also, other members of the state assembly voted on this day. However, Sudeep Roy Barman, the only Congress MLA in the state assembly, abstained from voting in the by-election in a single Rajya Sabha seat from Tripura. Congress MLA Sudeep Roy Burman did not vote that day. Meanwhile, the results of the by-election in only one Rajya Sabha seat from Tripura will be out today.
