Government to Announce Results Group-D Posts on September 7-8; Salary Increase for Special Police Officers (SPOs) Approved
Agartala, August 31, 2024: The Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura (JRBT) will announce the final results for the recruitment of 2,500 Group-D posts on September 7 or 8, 2024. This decision was approved in the Cabinet meeting held yesterday. Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat on Saturday, Food Minister Sushanta Choudhury shared the Cabinet’s decision.
The Minister also announced that the Cabinet has decided to increase the salaries of Special Police Officers (SPOs) working under the Home Department. Following this decision, the SPOs will receive a monthly salary of INR 12,000. This hike will benefit 3,776 SPOs across the state.
In addition, the Cabinet has approved several decisions regarding recruitment and creation of new positions across various departments. Minister Choudhury informed that 916 vacant positions for constables (both male and female) under the Home Department will be filled. He noted that an examination for 1,000 constable posts has already been conducted, and the recruitment process will be completed soon. Following this, the recruitment process for these 916 new constable posts will begin.
Furthermore, the Minister mentioned that the Cabinet has approved the creation and filling of 51 different categories of posts under the Tourism Department. These positions include Engineers, Computer Assistants, Group-C, Group-D, and others.
In the Information and Technology Department, the recruitment of 8 Senior Informatics Officers (Group-A) and 1 Lower Division Clerk (LDC) has been approved. The recruitment process for Senior Informatics Officers will be conducted through the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC), while JRBT will oversee the recruitment process for the LDC.
Minister Choudhury also announced that the Cabinet has decided to increase the wages of pump operators working in 19 municipal councils and one municipal corporation in the state. Operators associated with Iron Removal Plants (IRP) will now receive a minimum wage of INR 7,500 per month, while non-pump operators connected with IRPs will receive a minimum wage of INR 7,000 per month.
