Agartala 31 July, 2024: The Directorate of Land Records and Settlement organized the Van Mahotsav 2024 event today at its office in Palace Compound, Agartala. The event began at 8:00 AM and was graced by the presence of Special Guest Brijesh Pandey, Secretary of the Revenue Department, Government of Tripura.
The program commenced with addresses from the Director of Land Records and Settlement and the Secretary of the Revenue Department. Both dignitaries underscored the vital role of plantation activities in environmental preservation and sustainable development. They emphasized the importance of biodiversity conservation as an essential measure to maintain ecological balance.
In their speeches, an earnest appeal was made to all staff members of the Directorate of Land Records and Settlement (DLRS) to participate actively in the green initiative. They urged each staff member to plant at least two trees during the planting season and to ensure their growth and survival. This collective effort aims to significantly contribute to the protection of Mother Nature.
The program concluded with a symbolic act of planting ten fruit-bearing saplings within the premises of the Directorate’s office, marking a significant step towards a greener and healthier environment.
The event was a resounding success, reinforcing the Directorate’s commitment to environmental sustainability and inspiring the community to take proactive steps in preserving the natural world.
