Two Young Men Killed in Collision at Bishalgarh
Bishalgarh, July 11: A devastating road accident in front of the Bishalgarh Electricity Office resulted in the death of two young men and left another critically injured. The incident occurred at 3:10 PM on Thursday. The driver of the bus responsible for the accident has been arrested.
Details of the Accident
According to reports, a bus with the registration number TR031419 was en route from Udaipur to Agartala when it lost control due to high speed in front of the Bishalgarh Electricity Office. The bus first collided with a bike (registration number TR03H8827) and then hit a scooter (registration number TR01AJ4517). The bike rider died on the spot.
Identification of the Deceased and Injured
Eyewitnesses reported that the bus crushed the bike under its wheels and carried it to the main gate of the Bishalgarh Twelfth Grade School. Local people stopped the bus and handed the driver over to the police.
The deceased bike rider has been identified as Rakesh Debnath (father’s name: Jagdish Debnath) from Udaipur, and the deceased bike passenger as Pranab Das (father’s name: Yuvraj Das) from Fota Mati, Laxmipur. The critically injured scooter rider is Prasenjit Bhowmik (father’s name: Paresh Bhowmik) from Charilam Chechurimai area. He has been referred to Agartala Hapania Hospital for further treatment.
Post-Mortem and Handover of Bodies
Currently, the bodies are kept in the morgue of Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital. After the post-mortem, the bodies will be handed over to their families tomorrow. The tragic death of these two young men created temporary unrest at the accident site.
Rescue Operations at the Accident Site
Upon receiving news of the accident, the fire department personnel from Bishalgarh rushed to the scene to carry out rescue operations. The bike rider and passenger were taken to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital, where doctors declared them dead.
