Agartala 23-03-23: The Chief Minister Professor Dr Manik Saha always keeps a track of each and everything and on Thursday he visited the hospital to inquire about the health condition of Food and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury. While talking with the media personnel the Chief Minister Professor Dr Manik Saha said that Sushanta Chowdhury was unwell and all the ministers had paid a visit in the hospital separately but this time the Cabinet ministers paid a visit together. Later in the evening it was known that Sushanta Chowdhury has been released and will also take part in Assembly Session on Friday.
Sushanta Chowdhury was at work in Secretariat when he suddenly felt unwell. He firstly had high blood pressure which was followed by vomiting. This is when he was admitted in the hospital on Tuesday. The Chief Minister Professor Dr Manik Saha also visited the hospital on that day and talked with the doctors who were treating him.
On Thursday Professor Dr Manik Saha said that there was a Cabinet meeting and all the ministers visited and inquired about his health after the meeting. He also wished for the well being of Sushanta Chowdhury’ s health and hoped that he will join them soon at work while the good news came in the evening.
An important session of State Legislative Assembly will take place on Friday hence an important Cabinet meeting took place on this day. The speaker of Legislative Assembly will be elected on the first day itself.The Congress- CPM alliance party has elected MLA Gopal Roy as their candidate. It was expected that Tipra Motha will support Gopal Roy’ s candidature but as no one from Tipra Motha was present when MLA Gopal Roy submitted his nomination and that confused the opposition party.
The Minister of Power and Election Department Ratan Lal Nath, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Tinku Roy, Minister of Industries and Commerce Santana Chakma and others were present on this day.
