To guarantee an orderly and peaceful vote counting procedure in Tripura on March 2, the Chief Secretary J K Sinha, the Chief Electoral Officer Kiran Gitte, and the Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan have taken the required measures. In order to avert any undesirable circumstances, they have given instructions to create proper security measures in every counting station and throughout the state, increased patrolling, and put up nakas.
Security preparations include flag marches, random checks in cars and hotels, the deployment of state police, Tripura State Rifles (TSR), and the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF). The DGP is keeping a close eye on the preparations.
